Weekly update 24th March 2025

Morning all just update on funds as at last week Thursday:

1. Thank you again to all that support the program, it is much appreciated, we had 6 new contributors last week that took us just to 401 out of 1000 contributors.

2. ⁠we have updated our projects last week, we looking at supporting the last bit of CCTV coverage required for Grey street, down from Main to the waterfront, thanks to Protea Hotel contribution R 5000 for this project

3. ⁠lots of our focus in this month will be round water security. With loadshedding being back it has major impact on our water feed and we started last week with our engineer supporting that program and the pumping from Glebe dam. We have some major challenges to resolve.

4. ⁠WWTP is ongoing and we have serious challenges currently with the equipment and we doing our best to resolve or keep running what we can until we can get orders for the parts

5. ⁠the Hlalani pump has been couriered to Knysna will follow up today on its arrival

On the sad note Thembi our Superstar will be retiring the end of this month which is going to leave a major gap in the Technical Deparment.

Personally I want to thank him and his family for all the support they have given the residents and wish him all the best. Will remain in contact with him!
